The city's fund balance has decreased significantly over the last few years. 

To stabilize our finances, we must reduce spending and increase revenue immediately. These actions are challenging, but they are necessary to protect essential services, including police, fire, waste management, and utilities.

To accomplish these goals, we are pausing non-essential projects, reducing and/or eliminating service contracts, and implementing organizational changes to ensure our operations align with the financial reality we face.

We know residents, employees, and partners have questions. That’s why we are committed to open communication. Through this site, public meetings, and regular updates, we will share what we know as soon as we know it. We won’t always have every answer immediately, but you will hear directly from us, not through rumors or speculation.
